Who we are
Sudo Tutors is an online marketplace where students book one-to-one video lessons in IT and cybersecurity with independent teachers. The service is run by [company name and registered address to be added]. Contact: [contact email to be added].
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the service, as a student or as a teacher.
- Give correct details and keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- One person, one account. We may close accounts that break these terms.
Students
- You can meet a teacher for a free 15-minute intro call, then book single lessons or a weekly plan.
- Times are shown in your own timezone. A lesson is a live video call in our lesson room; the room opens 10 minutes before the start.
- Cancellations, returned lessons, the first-lesson guarantee and weekly plans follow the page on cancellations and refunds.
Teachers
- Teachers are independent. They are not employees of Sudo Tutors and decide how they teach.
- A profile is shown to students only after our team has approved it. We may ask for changes or refuse a profile.
- Teachers keep their weekly times accurate, attend the lessons they accept and answer students politely.
- The commission and the way teachers are paid are agreed with each teacher in writing before payouts start.
Behaviour
- Be respectful. No harassment, discrimination, threats or illegal content.
- Keep lessons and chat on the platform. Do not share phone numbers, emails or other messaging apps in chats or reviews, and do not arrange paid lessons outside the platform.
- Security lessons are for learning and for systems you are allowed to test. Never use what you learn, or what a teacher shows you, against systems you do not own or have written permission to test.
- Do not record lessons without the other person's clear consent.
- Reviews must be honest and about your own lessons. We may hide reviews that break the rules.
Payments
Prices are shown in US dollars and are set by each teacher. Payment methods and any commission are described at checkout once payments are switched on. Weekly plans renew every 28 days until you cancel; see the page on cancellations and refunds.
Our responsibility
We provide the platform, the lesson room and support, but we do not guarantee any exam result, job or skill level. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
